First Post :)

Well this is my second attempt at blogging. The first attempt failed because I couldn't pick a name I liked for the title in the site. The best I could come up with was sunshineandhappytime.blogspot.com and while it seemed like a good name for about 3 seconds, after I thought about it (and got laughed at) I decided it wasn't going to work out. Anyway...This is going to be our blog! And when I say ours that probably means me (Kristin) blogging and claiming that Mike is involved. I think he's got a million better things to do than blog. But I don't!! So here is us in a brief recap of our lives and who we are...

Mike is my husband. He is the best person I have ever met. I can say that without even thinking of an exception and I love him more than anything. He is 23 years old right now and he's graduating with a Bachelor's in Health Administration in December. He's planning on getting his masters as well and we'll take that road when it comes, but for now we are excited for his graduation and looking forward for him to have some time to call "free." He has been going to school every possibly semester since he graduated high school before and after his mission to Micronesia. His mission means the world to him and it's a huge part of the person he is. He served primarily on an island called Pohnpei (Hopefully I spelled it right) and he was there for the first 18 months of his mission until he was called to serve the remainder of his mission in Guam. He has such a soft spot for the islanders that he met there and any that he spots on the side of the road or in the mall..or anywhere else. (He is CONSTANTLY telling me that people he sees are islanders--he's even worked with me on how to spot them) Anyway...I'm going to move away from making this a shrine of Mike. Even though I could probably do that easily.

My name is Kristin. We'll just go with the basics here. I'm 21 and I graduated from USU in May of 2010. I got a Bachelor's in Human Resource Management and I work for a company called Y.E.S and love it. Right now I love the gym and shopping and anything coconut!

We got married in the Salt Lake Temple on December 11, 2010 and it was the best decision I can say I ever made. Hopefully Mike would say the same. :) We live in a little town house in the best ward ever. I think we have learned a lot in the last year--about each other and about life. I've learned that marriage isn't hard unless you make it hard and that it's essential for Christ to be at the center of our lives and especially our marriage. We've also learned the meaning of budgeting and being smart about money. I especially have learned what it means to SAVE and to avoid the Buckle at all costs. Except when Mike gives me giftcards. :) It's been an adjustment but definitely an adjustment for the better. Mike has helped me in so many ways to become better and I am always so grateful to follow his example.
